The 5TH AVENUE JUMBO HB MEMPHIS SUN model with its deeper jumbo body offers a beautifully warm, round vintage tone that will stand out in a wide range of musical styles - jazz, delta blues, rock, country and all fusions of these styles. The body of the guitar is constructed in laminated Canadian solid cherry. Glued to the silver-leaf maple neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one Medium-sized frets. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks.
A Seymour Duncan '59 cone humbucker and Custom Godin neck humbucker provide the guitar with a varied palette of sounds. The character of the tone can be adjusted using the volume and tone shutter potentiometers. The strings are mounted in tuning machines with 18:1 (Bass side) and 26:1 (Treble side) gear ratios, and through an adjustable Graphtech Tusq w/ T.O.M. tailpiece with roller saddles in the string. Nice craftsmanship is accentuated by the retriever-inspired Memphis Sun burnished finish, engraved veneer on the headstock and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.
