Make waves, endless repeats, whatever...
Like a proper analogue synthesizer, it includes countless filters and effects, all neatly arranged on the extensive control panel. You'll find a VCO filter with two waveforms and an octaver, a highly flexible 24 dB VCF, a VCA and a 16-step sequencer with seven tracks each of which can have up to 250 patterns. You can also use the wide-range arpeggiator for great sound effects or repeats, and last but not least the Distortion effect inspired by the legendary BOSS DS-1. You'll then have 11 LED indicator lights and 28 buttons/knobs to easily set up your desired sound. Thanks to the multi-voice chain, you can combine up to sixteen synths to achieve a unique polyphony.
A jack, another jack, and then...
The second part of the TD-3 is a simple connector panel for interconnecting with other synthesizers and modules. All connectors are clearly described and you will have 2 In x 2 Out connectors plus a headphone output for detailed monitoring. The rear panel then includes a line output, MIDI connectors and a USB port for connecting to a PC. The TD-3 is available in four colour options.
More features
The letters MO indicate an improved version over the classic TD-3. The biggest features include attack/decay control, FM control or perhaps a two-step muffler.
