ORANGE Rockerverb 100H-MkIII Black

Over the years, Rockerverb guitars have become cult amplifiers, especially in the harder styles of music. The new MKIII series continues this tradition, offering a wide range of sounds from British crunch to distortion typical of modern genres.

The MKIII series gives you even more headroom, more volume, but also more control thanks to the built-in power brakes. The so-called attenuator is located behind the master volume controls and determines when and how the amp should distort the sound after the preamp section. The overall volume can thus be reduced without affecting the distortion characteristics of the amplifier. The power brake can also be switched on and off using the footswitch, so disabling it can be used as a boost.

The clean channel has been redesigned to give the player a crystal and natural sound as well, thanks to the use of a 2-band EQ. The distorted Dirty channel features Volume controls, a 2-band EQ and a Spring Reverb that is "powered" by a 12AT7/ECC81 tube. Also on the front panel we find the attenuator potentiometer, channel switch and half-power switch. The amp is equipped with an effects loop, which I have my own 12AT7/ECC81 tube. The latter is intended for "purists" who want their complete circuit to be pure tube - including the connected effects.

The power of the amp is 100 W (70/50/30 W) and it can handle 1x16, 1x8 or 2x 16 Ohm boxes. In the preamp we find 4 CC83/12AX7 tubes and two ECC81/12AT7 tubes. In the final amplifier there are 4 EL34 tubes.

The new Rockerverb MKIII is an all-rounder for modern guitarists looking for an honest sound and total attention to detail.
