ZOOM F1-SP

The Zoom F1-SP is a compact mobile recorder that can solve the age-old problems of videographers with audio recording and processing. It comes with the proven SGH-6 shotgun microphone, whose qualities have already been proven in the H5 and H6 recorders, and offers professional audio quality in an ultra-lightweight aluminum body. Combined with the F1 recorder, it can record two-channel audio up to 24bit/96kHz in MP3 or WAV formats, but the huge advantage is that the audio is recorded directly to the camera, and the audio is directly synchronised with the video. However, if you want to edit the audio track in post-production in any way, you can use a separate stereo audio track that is automatically backed up to a Micro SD or Micro SHDC card with a capacity of up to 32GB.

The intuitive controls quickly get to the point, the monochrome display is brilliantly legible in sunlight and gives you clear information about the recording progress and recorder settings. Power is provided by a pair of AAA batteries, or you can use an optional adapter, but the runtime is really sufficient - on two standard AAA alkaline batteries, the manufacturer guarantees up to 10 hours of continuous recording. Of course, there is also a headphone output for monitoring or quick checking of the recording.

The connection of the Zoom F1 to the supplied microphone is solved by a ten-pin connector on the top of the recorder, and all Zoom microphone capsules are compatible with this connector, so it is possible to swap the microphone for another one that will better suit your current needs if necessary.

In addition to the SGH-6 microphone, the recorder also comes with a high quality SMF-1 shock mount, designed specifically to filter out sounds caused by unwanted vibrations. The rich equipment is completed by the WSS-6 windproof cover and the SMC-1 3.5mm TRS cable, which easily connects the recorder and any type of camera.
