YAMAHA HS3 White

The Yamaha HS3 is a pair of dual-band active studio monitors that extend Yamaha's HS series, which has become a standard in studio monitoring and has been trusted by the world's top sound engineers, producers and artists for many years. This model is also made with reference to the iconic NS-10, which has built the legend of the "white speaker" since the 1970s. The HS3 and HS4 focus primarily on compactness and target users who have limited space or require a speaker setup suitable for travel, but don't want to compromise on monitoring quality.

Unlike studio monitors with extended edge bands that aim to sound more pleasing at first glance, the HS Series speakers have been designed to give you the most honest and accurate reference on which to build a critical listening and mixing process.

The HS3's compact size was made possible by the high-quality MDF cabinetry and efficient Class-D amplifier. The use of one amplifier for two speakers allowed for a reduction in overall weight and also simplified cable connections. The monitors can therefore only be bought as a pair, with the left one housing a 2 x 26 W amplifier, a terminal for connecting the right speaker and all input connectors: 2 x XLR for symmetrical signal connection, 2 x unbalanced RCA cinch and a user-friendly ST input (3.5 mm jack) for quick connection of mobile devices etc. At the bottom of the front of the left monitor you will find a control wheel for overall volume adjustment and the manufacturer also thought of a headphone output (jack 3.5 mm), which often comes in handy. The 132 x 223 x 189 mm cabinets are fitted with 3.5" woofers and a soft dome 0.75" tweeter. This combination gives a frequency response of 70 Hz - 22 kHz.

The sound emitted by the speakers is always influenced by the surrounding environment and room acoustics. However, Yamaha's designers haven't skimped on the basic monitor range either, and for the above reason, the rear panel features ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM correction functions that allow basic adjustments to be made to achieve the ideal sound for any environment.
