Warwick's Alien Series electroacoustic basses combine unconventional design, quality craftsmanship and great sound with a wide range of adjustability that will make these instruments a must-have in the studio and on stage.
The body of the instrument is made from a combination of solid spruce and walnut wood, giving it a very rich and clear sound. A glued mahogany neck with a Wenge fingerboard ensures excellent vibration transfer. This is fitted with 24 extra jumbo frets made from a combination of nickel and silver. The scale is 32" (medium scale), which makes the instrument very comfortable to play.
On the top side of the instrument, the strings pass through the Just-a-Nut III fretboard and are then mounted in chrome company mechanisms, which take care of great tuning stability. The fingerboard is then made of Wenge wood and fitted with a bone saddle.
The sound pickup is a piezo pickup from the renowned Fishman company, specifically the Sonicore model, located under the fingerboard. This is perfectly complemented by the Fishman Presys Preamp electronics, which, in addition to the integrated tuner, also gives you a very wide range of sonic possibilities. You'll find a traditional volume control, a three-band EQ, a phase switch or potentiometers for the Brillance and Notch functions.
A soft padded case and a strap roll with safety lock are also included. The instrument is factory strung with Warwick Red Bronze Acoustic 045" - .105 strings.
