The body of the VSA500BCR is made of laminated maple. The one-piece mahogany neck with a "Soft C" profile, twelve-inch fingerboard radius and deeper lower body cutaway offer a comfortable fingerboard and pleasant hand movement across the entire fingerboard surface.
Two Wilkinson humbuckers with chrome caps give the guitar a sound suitable for jazz and rock. Its character can be adjusted with two volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. The strings are mounted in Grover tuning machines and through the Wilkinson TOM bridge in a Bigsby tremolo. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the three-layer black pickguard, cream body binding and chrome hardware.
