Vintage's VS4 ReIssued BK electric bass is clearly based on the shape of the rock classic Gibson EB-3, but its affordable price tag makes it affordable even for those who aren't collectors of rare instruments. The spirit of this bass remains intact, and the quality workmanship and materials guarantee excellent sound and highly enjoyable playability.
The body of the VS4 ReIssued BK is made of mahogany. The mahogany neck with a pleasant C profile is joined to a fingerboard made of Lignum Rosa (laminated wood), a composite material with the properties and appearance similar to rosewood, fitted with 20 frets. The unique sound is also due to the shortened menus of 30 inches (762 mm).
Two Wilkinson Double Coil pickups provide the bassist with clearly defined bass and punchy mids. The character of the sound can be shaped with two volume controls and a common tone shield. So you can tailor the settings to your exact needs - whether you prefer a more driving rock sound or a more warm blues sound.
The strings are anchored via a Graphtech NuBone zero fret in Wilkinson WJBL200 tuning machines and the same brand's crown.
At a very attractive price, Vintage's electric basses offer excellent workmanship and performance that you would find in much more expensive models. These instruments play really well and won't disappoint you with their looks either.
