The American Dream line represents the most affordable all-massive Taylor acoustic guitars made in the USA. They represent the imaginary divide between the 200 DLX and 300 series.

The body of the Grand Auditorium AD24ce is made of solid mahogany front and solid sapele back and sides, a wood closely related to real mahogany (which is why it is often referred to as sapele mahogany). The texture of the woods is accentuated by the Shaded Edgeburst finish and ultra-thin matt lacquer. Patented V-Class ribbing improves the guitar's performance in three aspects - increasing the instrument's volume, extending sustain and improving intonation.

The mahogany neck is glued to a eucalyptus fingerboard. The same material is also used for the headstock and the headplate. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by positional dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl. The strings are mounted in the company's nickel mechanics. The nice workmanship is accentuated by a rosette composed of black and maple lines and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.

The guitar is equipped with high-quality company electronics. Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the fingerboard. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
