TAYLOR 314ce 50th Anniversary

The limited edition 50th Anniversary commemorates fifty years of the American brand Taylor Guitars. It includes the Grand Auditorium 314ce 50th Anniversary electro-acoustic guitar from the 300 Series, one of the company's bestsellers.

The front of the guitar is made of torrified, i.e. heat-treated, Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of sapele. The vintage character of the golden baked spruce top is accentuated by the Shaded Edgeburst finish. The V-Class ribbing improves the guitar's performance in three aspects - increasing the instrument's volume, extending sustain and improving intonation. The lower body cutaway (venetian cutaway) makes it easier to match the higher positions of the fingerboard.

A eucalyptus fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the attachment of the strings in the company's gold-finished mechanisms and the eucalyptus headstock with ebony pegs. Nice workmanship is emphasized by traditional elements in the form of a rosette composed of three rings, black peripheral banding of the body, position markers on the fingerboard made of imitation mother-of-pearl and pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, which also protects the lacquer of the instrument from scratches.

The guitar is fitted with high-quality company electronics. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the fingerboard. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
