The Samson AWXm wireless system for wind instruments comes with the latest wireless kit solution for wind instruments. The Samson AWXm combines a miniature ATX transmitter that fits directly onto the body of the instrument with the new AR99m portable receiver, which offers 100 tunable frequencies including a function for scanning and selecting the most suitable frequency.
The miniature transmitter and perfectly matched microphone for winds
Samson's new AWXm wireless kit, designed for wind instruments, brings true wireless freedom without cables and transmitters under your belt. The system features the world's smallest ATX-rated transmitter, tailored to attach directly to the instrument body. The HM60 condenser microphone is mounted in a miniature suspension mount and can be easily adjusted to the ideal position thanks to the flexible gooseneck. The microphone is tailored for live production, and with the ability to pick up signals with high sound pressure (up to 125dB), it is perfectly suited for picking up brass and woodwind instruments. The supercardioid characteristic ensures perfect isolation from surrounding instruments, and the 3-point cushioned insert fit minimises surface noise and vibration. The transmitter is equipped with a rechargeable lithium battery with a battery life of up to 8 hours.
100 tunable channels and environmental scanning
The new AR99m receiver boasts high-end performance and advanced features. The system transmits high-resolution audio signals up to 75m away. The receiver is equipped with three outputs with XLR, Jack 6.3mm and Jack 3.5mm connectors, providing the ultimate flexibility for interfacing with a mixing console or amplifier. Perfectly clean transmission is guaranteed by 100 tunable channels and an ambient scan function with frequency selection for the cleanest transmission. With a built-in USB input for connecting Samson XPD series wireless sets, the AR99m receiver also offers 2-channel operation when connected to an XPD set (sold separately).
