The American Martin X Series offers more affordable electro-acoustic guitars made in Mexico that enrich the classic look and sound of Martin instruments with modern elements in the form of renewable components, composite materials and electronics.

The Martin 00-X2E,Sit/Cocobolo HPL electroacoustic guitar is ideal for fingerstyle playing thanks to its smaller body and shorter scale, while also providing the necessary playing comfort for musicians with smaller fingers. Its front board is made of solid spruce, while the back and sides are made of modern HPL material in an exotic cocobolo finish. This combination of materials not only saves the environment, but also gives the instrument good sound and playing qualities. The good acoustic properties of the guitar are accentuated by the reduced X-ribs (Scalloped X-Brace) of the soundboard.

A Select Hardwood neck, attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is joined by a 20-fret hardwood fingerboard. A TusQ composite saddle set on a hardwood fingerboard provides the strings, along with a Corian fretboard, with excellent resonance and sustain. The stylish finish is accentuated by closed chrome tuning mechanisms and an imitation mother-of-pearl rosette (abalone pattern).

The Martin E-1 active electronics with volume and tone controls in the guitar's soundhole and push/push switches for Phase (180 degree phase rotation) and Tuner, which activates the chromatic tuner. The guitar comes in a high quality case (Soft Shell), making it instantly ready to be loaded into the trunk of your car/van for long or short trips to pursue your musical dreams.

The American Martin company, founded in 1833, is quite deservedly one of the biggest and most respected names in stringed instruments. For decades, it has been one of the leading innovators in guitar design and manufacturing technology.
