After the huge success of the 500W version, Markbass has created this 1000W supercharged head for bassists who need the award-winning features and sonic capabilities of the Little Mark Vintage, but also need huge power output no matter what stage they're playing on.
The Little Mark Vintage 1000 is part of the Gold Series, a state-of-the-art line that offers superior quality, recognizable by a striking new look that marks a new era for Markbass. It features gold-plated circuitry, choice components and the most sought-after features on bass amplifiers.
Tube preamp<
The Little Mark Vintage 1000 features a tube preamp that delivers a rich and warm sound, full of harmonic tones.
The 1000W MPT (Mark Proprietary Technology) end amplifier
The ultra-lightweight head delivers amplification thanks to a supercharged 1000W MPT limiter, providing huge power and significant headroom, but also amazing concreteness and dynamics.
Almost all basses on the market use the same end amp from different manufacturers, which is also not specifically made for basses. At Markbass, Marco De Virgiliis has invested heavily in R&D to create with his own technology a tail-end amplifier that is specifically designed to respect and celebrate the tone of your instrument.
Limiter control
This driver offers a modern response when you dial it up to maximum, or set it to zero to get that old sound with its typical distortion you get when the limiter is really low. And of course you get everything in between.
New EQ design, 3-position switch
The four-band EQ on the Little Mark Vintage 1000 has new midrange settings, all tweaked to provide a balanced tone that will easily pass through the mix, plus a 3-position switch with three useful EQ presets to get you to a flat setting quickly, the CUT setting has clipped mids and pulled bass and treble, and the OLD setting trims the highs to achieve a vintage tone.
A real DI box
The symmetrical DI output with transformer is optimized to deliver a pure, rich and linear sound at all frequencies. Although the Little Mark heads already had quality DI circuitry, the transformer upgrades the DI output to give you a true DI box inside the amp, handling extreme swings without distorting or colouring them in any way.
