The PM200 is an instrument that has been built to the exact specifications of guitarist Pat Metheny. It's a lube electric instrument that will come into its own in many musical positions. Thanks to their construction, thicker soundboard and quality pickups, they have a perfect sound, high resistance to feedback and of course offer a highly comfortable playing experience. Their development has been quite long, but the results are all the better now.
The body of the guitar has been constructed entirely from maple and is 80 mm deep. The mahogany neck, bearing the PM designation, fully corresponds to Metheny's ideas - on the 628 mm gauge, 22 Medium-sized frets are fitted on a fingerboard with a 305 mm radius, the zero fret is 43 mm wide. The neck is 21 mm thick at the zero fret, and 23 mm at the 12th fret.
The instrument is fitted with a single Ibanez Super 58 humbucker pickup at the neck. The sound can be changed using the volume and tone potentiometers.
The strings are anchored in a PM tailpiece and run through a Gotoh GE103B height-adjustable tailpiece. The instrument's hardware is in gold finish.
The Ibanez PM200 is an instrument for the most demanding guitarists who require great tone and its variability and, of course, perfect workmanship. Try it out and you will see that you will not want to let it out of your hands.
