The 5th Avenue line of the Canadian brand Godin presents lube guitars that take you back in sound and design to the 1950s, when instruments of this type ruled music.
The 5TH AVENUE JUMBO P-RAIL HARVEST GOLD model with a deeper jumbo body offers a beautifully warm, round vintage tone that will stand out in a wide range of musical styles - jazz, delta blues, rock, country and all fusions of these styles. The body of the guitar is constructed in laminated Canadian solid cherry. Glued to the silver-leaf maple neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one Medium-sized frets. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks.
A Seymour Duncan P-Rail neck humbucker combines a Hot Rails pickup coil with a Vintage P90 pickup to give the guitar a diverse range of sounds. The character of the tone can be adjusted using the volume and tone shutter potentiometers. The strings are mounted in tuning machines with 18:1 (Bass side) and 26:1 (Treble side) gear ratios, and through an adjustable Graphtech Tusq w/ T.O.M. tailpiece with roller saddles in a Bigsby tremolo. The beautiful craftsmanship is accentuated by the Harvest Gold retro-inspired burnished finish, engraved headstock veneer and imitation tortoiseshell pickguard.
