There are few electric guitars that can be said to be as classic or legendary as the Les Paul model from American manufacturer Gibson.The 1968 Les Paul Custom Reissue Gloss Ebony is a historically authentic "reissue" model from the Gibson Custom Shop that harks back to the 1968 design.
The solid mahogany body features a two-piece plain maple top, Ebony finish and gloss nitro lacquer. Glued to the mahogany neck is an ebony fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by mother of pearl position blocks.
The sound of the instrument is provided by two 68 Custom humbuckers. Two volume potentiometers, two tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. Stable tuning is ensured by the attachment of the strings in the Kluson Waffleback mechanism and through the ABR-1 bridge in the stringers. The period authenticity is underlined by all the materials/components used and their workmanship.
The guitar comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity.
