The ESP E-II ECLIPSE Tiger Eye Sunburst is an electric guitar in a traditional single-cut (LP) design. The mahogany body of the guitar is adorned with a fancy flame maple top backed by a Tiger Eye Sunburst finish and perimeter binding. Glued to the mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deeper into the body, is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks and an ESP inlay on the twelfth fret.
Two active direct-mount Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers with ceramic and Alnico magnets give the guitar a great dynamic sound (without any accompanying noise) with precise articulation of individual notes/chords and, if needed, a sufficient amount of punch/aggressiveness. The push/pull function of the volume knob allows you to switch between voicings - the guitar's sonic arsenal is thus much wider than it might first appear. A three-position pickup switch completes the controls as standard.
The strings are anchored in Gotoh's locking tuning machines and through the Gotoh TOM bridge in the stringers. The guitar comes in a carrying case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
