The Redondo Player Lake Placid Blue features a large resonant body in the style of Dreadnought models, consisting of a solid Sitka spruce front and laminated sapele back and sides. Glued to a nato neck with a narrower easy-to-play "Slim C" profile is a walnut fingerboard fitted with twenty frets, with position dots to help orient the fingerboard.
True amplification of the natural acoustic sound is guaranteed by a Fishman Flex preamp with Volume and Tone controls in the back of the guitar. The strings are mounted in Graphtech NuBone material across the zero and saddle frets in the company's 6-in-line electric guitar design and Modern Viking headstock. The stylish finish is accentuated by the Aged White body binding, imitation tortoiseshell pickguard and nickel hardware.
