The alder body of the Jaguar PLAYER JAGUAR PF CAR is covered with a glossy polyester lacquer. A maple neck with a "Modern C" profile is glued to a pau ferro fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Thanks to its shorter gauge (610 mm), the Jaguar will also suit musicians who have trouble keeping up with standard gauge guitars (Strat, Tele, Jazzmaster).
The combination of the company's pickups with Alnico magnets, i.e. a cob humbucker and a neck single-coil, gives the guitar a wide range of sounds with Fender DNA that will stand out in a variety of musical styles. The sound can be manipulated using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter, three-position pickup switch and coil split switch, which splits the coils of the grasshopper humbucker (activating only the outer coil) to change the sound purely to single-coil.
Strings are mounted in vintage floating tremolo and Standard Cast/Sealed tuning machines. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by a three-ply pickguard and Fender spaghetti logo.
Jaguar guitars feature an offset body shape and shorter gauge. Similar to the Jazzmaster models, they have gained recognition thanks to the wave of punk and alternative rock.
