The special edition Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series expands Dunlop's range of "Hendrix" fuzz pedals. This time, the chassis of the ultra-compact boxes is decorated with a modified 1968 poster motif created for the Los Angeles concert by American graphic designer and illustrator John Van Hamersveld (who also worked on albums by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jefferson Airplane, Kiss and others).
During 1969 and 1970, Jimi Hendrix used a mysterious red Fuzz Face Distortion pedal, which sounded different from all available fuzz effects at the time (much more aggressive). It is this specific sound that the Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys Fuzz box offers, with a modified circuit from the Octavio pedal (without the added octave effect). The classic analog tone can be shaped with the standard Output, Fuzz and Tone controls.
All electronics are housed in a compact metal chassis. A 9V DC adapter is required to power the effect (not included), battery power is not available.
