The PREMIER DC Brown Burst model's semi-hollow construction consists of a laminated maple back and sides, a spruce veneer top and a center block. Glued to the maple neck is a pau ferro fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Vintage frets. The neck's narrow C profile ensures smooth finger movement on the fingerboard and a comfortable finger grip, while the fingerboard orientation is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl.
Two Supro Bolt Bucker A5 humbuckers with Alnico 5 magnets optimized for the DC body shape give the guitar a warm, lush sound that will please whether you prefer a clean tone or a rockier distortion/overdrive. From jazz, blues and fusion to contemporary rock, the instrument has a wide range of applications. The character of the tone can be shaped with two volume potentiometers, two tone controls and a three-position pickup switch.
The body of the guitar is balanced by the company's signature Art Deco headstock decorated with a mother-of-pearl inlay and company logo. Stable tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the attachment of the strings through the Graphtech NuBone XL zero fret in the Grover 109 Super Rotomatic and through the TOM bridge in the truss rod. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the body, fingerboard and headstock binding and the five-ply Scalini pickguard.
