Cort's Artisan C Deluxe is considered by many to be the workhorse of the Artisan series. A lighter and more player-friendly poplar body is used, while the same premium hardware, such as the MetalCraft M headstock with universal string loading system and Bartolini MK-1 pickup set with Markbass MB-1 preamp, adds great tone and playability. The aforementioned poplar is an excellent wood with acoustic properties reminiscent of alder. It offers a full sound with strong mids and solid bass that is well balanced across the tonal spectrum. Poplar is suitable for a variety of musical genres and playing styles, both for electric guitars and basses. The maple neck with jatoba fingerboard ensures tone balance and stability, as well as durability.

The Bartolini MK-1 pickups preserve the distinctive Bartolini sound while ensuring excellent sound quality. The MK-1 delivers plenty of punchy and warm mids along with clear and brilliant highs for a perfectly balanced sound. The Markbass MB-1 preamp delivers a very natural and transparent sound that does not affect the organic nature or resonance of the instrument's wood. The combination of crystal clarity and natural warmth creates tonal overlap with smooth bass, full mids and ringing highs.

The MetalCraft M's solid, heavyweight headstock was developed with ease of use and greater tone transfer in mind. Thanks to the double string loading system, strings can be loaded either through the body or from the top, allowing you to find the best optimal string tension. This leads to better sustain of tone, greater playability and a more focused sound.
