The Boss GM-800 is a next-generation guitar/bass synthesizer using Roland's ultra-flexible Zen-Core technology, combining virtual analogue modelling with PCM synthesis and high-quality DSP effects.
This portable Zen-Core sound module offers sounds composed of up to four layers plus percussion accompaniments to create rich sound textures (scenes), freedom to edit individual sounds/presets (pitch, filter, Zen Core FXs, level, string/fret configuration, alt tuning, etc.), 100 high-end presets (150 scenes including 100 rewritable presets), improved playability with pitch-detection technology, sound database expansion from Roland Cloud (Sound Pack / Wave Expansion), integrated tuner, flexible USB audio/MIDI and MIDI I/O, Guitar/Bass-to-MIDI functionality for MIDI controller/device integration, GK Out for interfacing to another GM-800 synth or other 13-pin GK device (converter required), and expanded control options via your external footswitches, expression pedals or MIDI.
