The Blackstar Dept. 10 Amped 3 is a multichannel guitar amp with 100 watts of power in pedal effect form, giving you the tone and feel of traditional tube amps plus more flexibility. You can use it in front of a guitar amp, connect it to a guitar speaker or go straight into a mix/PA. Switchable 100/20/1W power and USB-C connectivity ensures that the Blackstar Dept. 10 Amped 3 will feel equally at home, in the studio and on stage.
It's a digital machine with a Class D transistor end, three channels (Clean, Crunch and Overdrive) with two switchable voicings on each, a separate booster section that can be placed before or after the preamp, i.e. You can further saturate or cleanly amplify the sound, switchable response by emulating the end tubes (EL84, EL34, 6L6), professional connectivity (USB-C, XLR DI), CabRig DSP speaker simulator that captures the sound and feel of the microphones of the voiced speaker in amazing detail (Architect editing software included), a built-in reverb effect with two Dark and Light mods, and standard guitar amp controls as you're used to them (plus a patented ISF function that lets you choose between a British- or American-style sound).
Sonically, you can run the full gamut from pure tones to ultra high-gain distortion. Channel presets can be created, saved and recalled directly from Amped 3 or via the Architect software. The rear panel also offers an effects loop for integrating your favorite guitar effects, MIDI I/O, a line/headphone output, two power outputs for pedal effects (9V, 500 mA total), and outputs to external speakers with 8 or 16 ohm impedance.
