Modular synthesis
The first 2500 series synthesizer modules appeared in the 1970s and were usually very expensive. The discrete circuits gave the modules a very distinctive sound and were used by artists such as The Who, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Kraftwerk and many others, resulting in some of the best recordings and movie soundtracks we've heard.
Module 1004
The 1004 is an authentic reproduction of the original "System 2500" circuits from the 70's that fits into a standard Eurorack cabinet and is very reasonably priced. Add the OSCILLATOR MODULE 1004 to your existing lineup or start your modular synth journey here. The 1004 is a classic analog dual core oscillator module fitted with discrete transistor circuits that give it vintage character. The module features coarse and fine frequency controls, a frequency range switch, an on/off switch, a pulse width control, 3 modulation attenuators and 3 position switches for each waveform that can be set to inverted/off/uninverted. All enabled waveforms blend together to create a complex mix and amazing sounds.
Inputs and outputs
The 1004 provides extensive connectivity, a 1V/octave keyboard input and two VCO modulation inputs, a pulse-width modulation input and finally two parallel oscillator outputs for sending signals to other modules.
Ready for Eurorack
The 1004 is designed to fit into a standard Eurorack cabinet. Simply connect the power cables to the power supply and mount the module using the included screws. This allows it to be combined with other synth modules to create a truly unique setup.
