The Ampeg SGT-DI bass preamp is a compact and versatile pedal preamp and direct box that offers quality sound and advanced features for bassists. The unit features a preamp with active three-band corrections, semi-parametric mids and Ultra Hi / Ultra Lo lever switches for adjusting low and high bands. It also includes a dual coaxial potentiometer for controlling the overall output level and compressor, as well as an SGT distortion circuit potentiometer. The preamp offers a choice of tube-style voicing modes in SVT or B15 and an integrated patented SGT (Super Grit Technology) drive.
The Ampeg SGT-DI features a cabinet IR section with six slots of Ampeg's proprietary sample boxes, while the last three samples can be overwritten with third-party IR pulses using Ampeg's IR Loader app. The rear of the chassis includes an instrument input, Thru output, Preamp Out and a line jack output that can also be used for headphones. On the sides are slide-out controls for headphone volume and Cab Level, which is connected to a balanced XLR DI Out connector with a detachable ground and a USB-C port for additional connectivity options.
