Behringer BRAINS is a multi-engine oscillator module with high resolution, 96 kHz sound quality, OLED oscilloscope in Eurorack design.
Behringer BRAINS is an amazingly versatile digital sound source for creating percussion, lead and bass sounds, as well as drone and soundscapes. With 20 digital oscillator modes, including many different control enginings, you have a plethora of different sounds and timbres at your disposal to create wild and otherworldly patches using chords, harmonic oscillation, particle noise, analog kick drum, snare, hi-hat and even speech.
Four knobs for everything
BRAINS features multi-function Timbre, Harmonics, Frequency and Morph knobs that can be used to adjust each of the 25 synth models. Simply select the active synth mode using the model knob, then start turning the controls to change the character of the sound source until you get the desired tone. Set up any of BRAINS' 20 synth or percussion and noise engines, such as Virtual Analog, Waveshaper, FM, Grains, Rain, Noise, Dust, Modal Strings, Bass, Snare or Hi Hat, and generate dark pulsating beats, bright and spicy tones, haunting leads, lush chords or ethereal pads to truly breathe life into your music.
Visible wavelengths
If the 20 digital oscillator modes weren't enough, BRAINS has an integrated and inspiring OLED display so you can visualize and adjust waveforms exactly how you want. Plus, having a display of dancing waveforms on your synth is just plain cool!
Inputs and outputs
Positioned alongside your other synth modules, BRAINS also features a number of 3.5mm input jacks for connecting control voltages to expand your options. There are also two separate audio outputs for both the main channel and the dynamic variant, which can be routed to other modules to create even more interesting and often wide stereo sounds.
Ready for Eurorack
BRAINS is designed to fit into a standard Eurorack cabinet. Simply connect the power cables to the power supply and mount the module using the included screws. This allows it to be combined with other synth modules to create a truly unique setup.
