BOOM is a 2×2 USB-C audio interface with high-end Apogee converters and microphone preamplifier. BOOM includes an integrated hardware DSP, which is used for example by Symphony ECS Channel Strip for zero latency recording with FX. Tuned by Bob Clearmountain, the ECS Channel Strip features presets created by this legendary master of audio mixing, so you can record like a pro in no time. With two inputs and two outputs equipped with legendary Apogee AD/DA conversion and a premium preamp, BOOM is the perfect partner for your home and mobile recording. Connect a microphone, guitar, keyboard or other line-level output devices and capture every detail. Listen and mix in the full breadth and dimension of your sound with two balanced analog outputs for connecting an amplifier or active speakers.
The BOOM preamplifier can work with even the most demanding microphones like the Shure SM7B, with up to 62dB of clean, noise-free gain. The studio-grade headphone amplifier and DAC can handle anything from In-Ear monitors to high impedance headphones thanks to the zero-ohm headphone output. Apogee Control 2 software provides complete access to all BOOM functions and features, including Symphony ECS Channel Strip FX, which runs on built-in hardware DSP. Get the warmth of an analogue device with the three-band EQ, Compressor and Drive.
