IBANEZ AS113-BS

The body of the Ibanez AS113-BS semi-hollowbody guitar blends the parallel histories of the jazz mushroom and electric guitars. It is a more affordable instrument from the top of the range Ibanez Artstar series designed for guitarists of all levels - from professionals to beginners, who will be pleased with the quality of workmanship.

The semi-hollow body of the guitar is made of a laminated spruce front board, laminated maple back and sides, and a center block. A three-piece nyatoh and maple neck is glued to a Makassar ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium-size frets with Artstar fret edge treatment. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks composed of imitation mother-of-pearl and genuine mother-of-pearl (abalone).

Super 58 humbuckers with Alnico magnets and a milder output signal offer a beautifully warm vintage tone that will stand out in jazz and other genres. The pickups are bolted directly to the center block for better sustain and to eliminate feedback. The character of the sound can be adjusted with two volume potentiometers, two tone controls, a three-position pickup switch and a Tri-Sound switch that offers parallel wiring and a split-coil neck humbucker configuration.

Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by anchoring the strings through the bone zero fret in the company's tuning machines and through the Gibraltar Artist headstock in the Quik Change III string changer, which ensures quick and easy string changes. Nice workmanship is accentuated by gold hardware, imitation tortoiseshell pickguard and Brown Sunburst finish.
