The RGA series of the Japanese brand Ibanez offers electric guitars of the Superstrat type. The instruments are based on the specifics of the well-known RG series, the added A in the name stands for arched top. Flatter fast necks, lighter weight and distinctive cutouts with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard surface are the reasons for the extreme popularity of these instruments among rock and metal guitarists.

The body of the seven-string RGA742FM-TGF is made of meranti and a spectacular veneer of flamed maple. A jatoba fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets is glued to a fast maple neck with a Wizard II-7 profile. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by white offset position dots.

Two Quantum passive corporate humbuckers with ceramic magnets give the guitar a balanced sound with a fast bass response and punchy mids, which you'll appreciate when riffing faster. Standard adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone shutters and a five-position pickup switch that offers, in addition to the usual configurations, parallel neck humbucker connection at position 2 and the sound of the inner coils of both pickups at position 4, i.e. single-coil character.

The strings are anchored in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and through a fixed bridge through the body of the instrument.

Guitars with the Standard designation are Ibanez's entry-level line. These are affordable instruments that appeal to beginners and experienced players alike with their quality craftsmanship, sound and playability.
