The 50s J-45 Original harks back to the golden era of Gibson, the 1950s. The guitar's soundboard is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of solid mahogany. The resonance of the top is supported by hand-cut X-type ribbing. The rounded mahogany neck with a "Round" profile is glued to a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty Standard-size frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position dots.
The strings are held in place by Grover tuning machines and a rosewood fingerboard over the bone fretboard and saddle. The stylish finish is accentuated by a multi-layered double-sided perimeter binding with a subtle hint of patina and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell in a period 50's design.
The L.R. Baggs VTC electronics ensure a high quality sound system with natural tone preservation. The guitar is supplied in a case. A set of accessories is included.
