IBANEZ RGIXL7-BKF

The RGD series of the Japanese brand Ibanez is based on the specifics of the well-known RG series, enriched with bevelled body cutouts and, above all, a longer menzurra. These are the ultimate metal/core machines in baritone or multi-string versions, especially suitable for guitarists who like a tuned sound. Flatter fast necks, lighter weight and distinctive cut-outs with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard surface are the reasons for the extreme popularity of these instruments among rock and metal guitarists.

The body of the seven-string RGIXL7-BKF is made from exotic nyatoh wood. The neck is composed of three pieces of maple and purpleheart (amaranth), and the fingerboard is made of jatoba, also known as Brazilian cherry, with twenty-four jumbo frets. The luminescent dots on the side of the fingerboard ensure perfect orientation even in dark, backlit environments.

Two passive humbuckers of the respected Di-Marzio brand with ceramic magnets and high output signal give the guitar a clear dynamic sound with good articulation ideal for modern branches of metal and core styles. In addition to the standard controls (volume, three-position switch), the guitar offers a coil-tap switch that changes the character of the humbucker to single-coil in seconds.

Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string attachment in the Gotoh Magnum Lock locking mechanisms and in the Gibraltar Standard II-7 solid body, which provides each string with optimal vibration transmission.
