The Nektar SE25 features 25 responsive mini keys with three dynamic modes. The Octave +- buttons allow you to use the full range of a classical piano, Pitch Bend/Sustain to select tone modulation, and the Setup 2 button then switches between MIDI device settings, essentially giving you two separate instruments with different sounds. The rear panel includes a USB output to a PC or laptop. Included in the package is the BITWIG 8-Track DAW software, which introduces you to the world of digital instruments and introduces you to all the possibilities of MIDI keys. The keys can also be connected to iOS devices, so you can play via your iPad, which you can download a MIDI-enabled music app to.
