The E-II M-II 7 NT semi-string electric guitar impresses at first glance with its impressive Purple Natural Fade finish contrasting with the cream body and headstock binding. The body of the instrument itself is made of mahogany and an awesome maple top (Buckeye Burl Maple). An ebony fingerboard with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets is glued to a neck composed of three pieces of maple with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deep into the body, and a narrower fast Thin U profile. Orientation around its surface is facilitated by offset position markers.
Two Bare Knuckle humbuckers with a really high output signal provide the instrument's sound with a modern aggressive halo with amplified bass response and punchy mids ideal for modern metal and core genres. Controls in the form of volume potentiometers, tone shutter and a three-position pickup switch offer complete control over the sound of the pickups.
Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment in high-quality Gotoh Locking mechanisms and a solid Hipshot tailpiece with string anchoring through the body of the instrument. The range of quality components used is complemented by Schaller's safety strap locks.
The guitar comes in a carrying case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
