The Legacy series of bass amplifiers from Gallien-Krueger carries on the legacy of fifty years of experience, innovation and development. Today, the company is one of the leading manufacturers of basses, and is endorsed by the likes of Flea from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Duff McKagan from Guns N' Roses. The series consists of 800 Watt combos with five different speaker configurations, featuring a retro 1980s design. The Legacy Series combos are very versatile and adapt to all playing techniques and music genres. So your resulting sound can be clean, mellow, biting or densely packed with overdrive.
The input signal sensitivity is affected by the Trim potentiometer, the switchable overdrive has Drive, Level and Edge tone controls, the four-band active corrections (60 Hz, 250 Hz, 1 kHz, 7 kHz) are complemented by the Bump lever switches - boosting the lower bands, Contour - reducing the mids and boosting the bass, Presence - boosting the upper mids, and the overall volume is determined by the Master with its associated Mute function.
Five blue LEDs indicate power connection, activation, overtemperature, short circuit and input overdrive. On the rear of the chassis are mini-jack headphone and Aux In jacks, a footswitch input, a balanced XLR line output with ground de-embedding and Pre/Post selection, a send/reverse effects loop, a three-position horn switch, and a Speakon for connecting an external cabinet.
As with the amplifiers, increased care has been taken with the mechanical construction of the Gallien-Krueger Legacy series combos, which are now more resistant to shock, resonance, etc., and the printed circuit connectors are gold-plated for better signal conduction.
