The Audix F2 is a dynamic, instrument microphone with an excellent price/performance ratio. It is suitable for drums, congas, guitars, basses, saxophones and brass instruments. It can be used both in the recording studio and in sound reinforcement. Thanks to its high maximum sound pressure (up to 139dB) it is a great choice even for noisy instruments.
The F2 model has a hypercardioid directional characteristic that guarantees very good off-axis attenuation and isolation from the surroundings, making the microphone less susceptible to feedback. The very thin diaphragm provides natural and accurate sound reproduction.
The Audix F2 also boasts a durable metal construction that makes the microphone last for many years of intensive use. In addition, this microphone contains no transformers, which, combined with its low impedance, allows the microphone to be used with really long signal cables without the resulting sound being altered in any way. The XLR output connector is gold-plated, and a microphone holder and protective case are included.
