The Markbass Compressor is a new generation of high quality tube compressor that can completely tame the signal from your bass and bring it to the limits you need it to be in.
Its electronics are housed in a solid metal chassis, the massive switch is reliable, and the potentiometers run precisely. Since it's a true-bypass effect, you don't have to worry about it adversely affecting your sound in any way when turned off. Switching off of the effect is indicated by an LED, as well as the activity of the effect. The power supply is provided by a 12 volt adapter.
The control of this effect is very easy and clear. The first potentiometer is Gain to adjust the gain on the input, followed by Treshold to determine the limit at which the compressor will start working. The Ratio (ranging from 1:1 to 1:infinity), Attack (2 - 50 ms) and Release (100 - 750 ms) controls then set the exact signal compression parameters. The last control is Volume, which is used to adjust the output volume.
