YAMAHA SEQTRAK ORANGE

The Yamaha SEQTRAK is a standalone music production tool that includes a step sequencer, drum machine, two AWM2 synthesizers, a Reface DX-style FM synthesizer, a sampler with recording function, and an effects section. It also features a built-in microphone, speaker, and rechargeable battery, making it the perfect music-making station that lets you capture and create your ideas absolutely anywhere.

An extensive (and growing) sound library, thoughtful and highly intuitive workflows make SEQTRAK an ideal and indispensable creative tool for the studio, stage and on the road. The already extensive sound editing functions are further enhanced by the free SEQTRAK app, which allows detailed adjustments to all the parameters the device offers.

The basis for creating music with SEQTRAK is a sequencer with dynamic and intuitive controls as well as easy sound input. There are 6 pattern slots for each song that can be easily switched. The step sequencer can handle up to 128 step lengths, 16 of which are displayed via step buttons (or small LEDs) on the front. Working with SEQTRAK is intuitively divided into three sections, each with dedicated controls with clearly described encoders. Stylish controls in the form of buttons located along the sides only accentuate the modern and minimalist design.

The first section of sounds on the Yamaha SEQTRAK features a drum machine with seven elements: kick, snare, clap, 2 x hi-hats and 2 x percussion. For each of these tracks, high-quality sounds can be loaded from an extensive library. This currently contains over 2,000 sounds across all SEQTRAK instrument categories and will be further expanded with additional sound packs. Additional samples can also be added via the SEQTRAK app.

The second creative section consists of impressive sounding synths and samplers. The first two synths use Yamaha's extremely versatile, 128-note AWM2 polyphonic engine. The third synth is called DX and brings back the colourful retro sounds of this classic famous Yamaha synth with four FM engine operators. All synths can be switched between mono, poly and chord modes to suit the specific requirements of the song. There are seven keys for playing melodies or chords, with scale and key selection. In keyboard mode, the step sequencer keys change to a so-called chromatic keyboard. An arpeggiator is also available. The sampler maps one sampled sound to each of the keys. Alternatively, you can use the SEQTRAK application, which allows you to record and sample individual sounds, either from an external source or via USB, by re-sampling or using the built-in microphone. The amount of variety SEQTRAK provides is remarkable, especially considering its compact size.

The third section is dedicated to sound design and the effects processor. All preset sounds in the Yamaha SEQTRAK can be further edited in the sound design section. Parameters such as pitch, volume, pan, attack, decay or filter can be edited depending on the selected sound. Further options are offered in the effects section, which allows you to add reverb, delay, modulation, distortion or compress the overall mix - all available directly in the device. No additional peripherals are required. SEQTRAK can take a song from its original idea to its final sonic form.

Yamaha has taken great care in the design of SEQTRAK to ensure a delicate balance between intuition and workflow depth. The SEQTRAK application provides even more extensive editing options and allows access to all parameters of effects, percussion, synths and other instruments. It even includes a visualizer that makes it easy to create interesting videos with animated objects that react to the music.
