Custom and quite unique bass guitar from the workshop of Miroslav Vlček. According to the original owner, it was difficult to convince Vlček to make this shape, which is not in his current offer and very likely such an instrument will not be made again. The bass is inspired by the legendary BSR (Ken Smith) model.
The scale-up body is slightly enlarged compared to conventional instruments, while the headstock is slightly reduced. The neck construction is continuous with tone block (ash). The top is walnut. The neck is made of five layers in a combination of veneered maple/wenge. The fingerboard is ebony. 24 frets and "luminay" positional side markers.
The pickups are Aguilar DC; the John East UK active electronics are passive switchable and have parametrically adjustable mids. Hardware is Hipshot.
The instrument has been actively played for 4 years, but fully cared for. It is in perfect, original condition. It offers tight and specific tones, even on the H string, a wide range of sound adjustments, and precision craftsmanship (handmade by a renowned craftsman). It is an impeccable bass guitar of the highest category. The reason for the sale is the original owner's inclination towards vintage instruments.
