Vintage electric guitars from the ICON series offer the refined design and feel of instruments played over the years, i.e. finishes with both subtle and more pronounced elements of artificial patina. The double-cut ST style model V6HMRSB thus boasts a number of battle scratches, scratched lacquer and distinctive patina elements on all hardware.
The body of the guitar is made of poplar. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium-sized frets is glued to a maple neck with a pleasing "Soft C" profile.
A grasshopper humbucker and two Wilkinson single-coil pickups give the guitar both the classic ringing tone of ST models and the fuller sound of humbuckers. So you can go about your business with the guitar without worry, confident that you'll always nail what's needed and what the audience is asking for. Adjust the character of the sound using the standard controls.
The strings are held in Wilkinson's patented locking E-Z-Lok and 6-point tremolo mechanisms.
