The TW EP 3 is an affordable Tanglewood ukulele in Concert size with a laminated black walnut body. The instrument's arched backboard contributes to better sound projection and greater volume on the ukulele. The mahogany neck is glued to a modern composite fingerboard fitted with eighteen frets. White position dots on the fingerboard facilitate orientation.
The strings are mounted in chrome-plated guitar-type tuning machines and a composite fingerboard. The ukulele comes in a gig bag with a clip-on tuner.
