The 1982 Seagull S6 Collection represents a return to the first S6 models produced over forty years ago. The instrument differs from the current production with a shorter bore (630 mm). The front of the guitar is made of pressure-tested solid cedar, while the back and sides are made of plywood solid cherry. This combination gives the guitar a warm, balanced sound with resonant mids and full bass.
Glued to the maple neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one frets. Position dots make it easy to navigate its surface. The strings are over the Graphtech zero fret in closed gears with a 14:1 gear ratio and a rosewood fingerboard.
The history of the Canadian company Seagul dates back to 1982 and its philosophy is clear - to make instruments using concepts familiar from custom guitar making so that even hard-working musicians can afford them.
