PRS S2 10th Anniversary McCarty 594 Fire Red Burst

The limited edition S2 10th Anniversary McCarty 594 electric guitars commemorate the 10th anniversary of the American S2 series. These are instruments with the soul of vintage guitars, traditional PRS body design and great playability.

The mahogany body of the S2 10th Anniversary McCarty 594 Fire Red Burst with its distinctive PRS double-cut design is adorned with a fancy maple top and gloss lacquer finish. Thanks to the wider mahogany back, the guitar has a full tone and rich sustain, while the distinctly beveled body edges promote overall playing ergonomics. A Cuban mahogany neck with a Pattern Vintage profile is glued to a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two frets. Of course, the guitar's shorter gauge (625 mm) is embodied in the McCarty 594 model designation (24.594 inches). Position markers in the form of mother-of-pearl bird silhouettes facilitate orientation around the fingerboard surface.

A pair of USA-made PRS 58/15 LT pickups give the guitar a clean sound with a vintage touch. In addition, the humbucker coils can be disconnected with push/pull tone controls. The warm authentic sound of humbuckers with a touch of the late 50's can be transformed into a single-coil character in seconds, or both sounds can be combined.

Stable tuning is guaranteed by the strings' anchoring in the vintage-design PRS mechanisms and two-piece zinc-plated headstock with brass stones. The instrument comes in a gig bag.

The first model in the McCarty series of electric guitars was launched in 1994 and Ted McCarty, Gibson's president from the brand's golden era, played a prominent role in its creation, contributing a wealth of valuable advice and manufacturing finesse as a consultant. As a result, the guitars in this series offer an impressive combination of tradition and modern construction techniques.
