The violin is based on an instrument from the workshop of the Cremonese violin maker Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarneri, later called 'Guarneri del Gesù'. In contrast to his greatest contemporary, A. Stradivari, he built instruments with a smaller body gauge. The f-holes, which are not as regular as those of Stradivari, are also distinctive and give the instruments a distinctive character. The smaller board menstruation suits players with smaller hands, which makes it easier for them to get into high positions. Petr Rácz used an aesthetically very interesting piece of wood for the back plate. The cut of the maple is from the root of the tree. This makes the drawing form puff patterns.
The strings are Larsen Il Cannone Soloist strings.
Petr Rácz is one of the established Czech violin makers. He is a bearer of the tradition from the region of western Bohemia, specifically the town of Luby near Cheb, where he continues and develops the traditional craft that has been operating in the region for over 300 years. As a graduate of the local violin-making school, he studied with Karel Zadražil and Emil Lupac. He finished his studies as the best graduate in his class. He developed his work with major companies in the region, eventually becoming completely independent and creating instruments under his own name. His instruments are known all over the world. He has been a member of the Circle of Artistic Violin Makers since 2008.
