A Select Hardwood neck is attached to the solid body with a hand-polished finish on the 14th fret. The African sipo fingerboard, related to sapele, is fitted with twenty frets and white dots for easy orientation. The strings are attached via a compensated saddle and TusQ zero fret in nickel tuning machines and a sipo wood fingerboard. The austere design is enhanced by a rosette composed of black and white lines and a Hawaiian koa veneer headstock embellished with the Martin corporate logo.
The ukulele comes in a high quality padded gig bag.
The American Martin company, founded in 1833, is deservedly one of the biggest and most respected names in stringed instruments. For decades, it has been one of the leading innovators in guitar design and technology. However, to use only the past tense would be a great mistake; instruments with the Martin logo are still today among the guarantees of the highest quality in craftsmanship and sound. In addition, their current products use "eco-friendly" components made from renewable resources and composite materials.
