The KingKORG NEO is equipped with a virtual analogue sound engine called XMT (eXpanded Modelling Technology) and has been designed to offer an extensive range of sounds while ensuring ease of use. Gone are the days of laboriously setting up oscillators to create sounds. KingKORG NEO simplifies this process with preset algorithms. These carefully designed combinations of different oscillator types and quantities allow you to easily and quickly shape rich, production-ready tones.
To meet the demands for diverse tonal possibilities, the KingKORG NEO is equipped with a wide range of oscillator algorithms. From classic sawtooth and square wave to more complex noise patterns typical of analog synthesizers and expanding to PCM/DWGS, this synthesizer is equipped to satisfy a vast array of musical needs and preferences.

Also captured are the essence of polyphonic synths from the vibrant new wave era of the 1980s, and the legendary filters from the Korg MS-20 analogue synthesizer. One of the most fascinating features of these filters is their ability to oscillate spontaneously as resonance increases - a hallmark of classic analog synthesis. The magic of the vocoder
The KingKORG NEO synthesizer features a front-panel XLR balanced input and includes a robust, high-quality microphone. This setup directly invites you to immediately immerse yourself in the world of vocoder. At the core of the KingKORG NEO vocoder is a sophisticated 16-band filter, rivaling dedicated vocoders. This powerful feature allows you to create classic vocoder tones, but that's just the beginning. By shifting the filter frequency with the formant shift function and fine-tuning the level and pan of each band, you open the door to a whole host of unique and original sounds. But there's even more possibilities. Timbre B can be ingeniously used as a modulator, providing an alternative to traditional microphone input. This allows the vocoder effect to blend seamlessly with the synth sound, opening the way to limitless sonic exploration. In addition, each of the three oscillators, timbres A and B, can be individually selected as a microphone input source. This unique feature allows you to synthesize a rich blend of voice and instrument, creating a timbre fusion that is innovative and captivating.

Built-in preset programs tailored to the contemporary music scene include an extensive library of 200 preset programs created for the modern music maker. KingKORG NEO elevates your sound with three master effects slots, each offering six different types of effects. The PRE FX slot brings predation and sharpness to effects like distortion and amp simulator. MOD FX infuses your tracks with the classic magic of phaser, chorus and tremolo. For creating sweeping atmospheres, the REV/DELAY slot offers ambient effects including hall reverb and modulation delay. Setting up and selecting these effects is easy thanks to dedicated front-panel controls for each slot and FX control knobs for detailed tweaking.

Virtual patch
Embrace the spirit of classic synths like the MS-20 with the innovative Virtual Patch system in the KingKORG NEO. This intuitive feature brings the flexibility of physically patching synths into the digital age. With six Virtual Patch assignments available for each timbre, you can virtually link control signals such as EG, LFO or joystick movements to key audio parameters, including pitch and cutoff. Step arpeggiator function
The KingKORG NEO features a versatile step arpeggiator, a tool that breathes life into your performances by automatically generating arpeggio phrases based on the chords being played. You can further customize your sound by selecting from six different arpeggio types. For each step, you can specify the duration, interval and on/off state, opening up a wide range of rhythmic possibilities.

KingKORG NEO is designed with an original panel layout that combines the classic feel of analogue synths with the best of today's technology. Its layout is thoughtfully arranged into blocks that simplify your workflow by putting the right controls at your fingertips when editing. The oscillator section boasts a special display showing the name of the currently selected algorithm. By simply turning the adjacent wheel, you can scroll through the options, view descriptive names, and quickly jump to different categories, such as ANALOG or DWGS. The control knobs are strategically placed so that the most important parameters of each oscillator can be set, allowing you to experience the joy of sound shaping in real time. This intuitive experience is enhanced by dedicated KingKORG NEO controllers for each of the three main effects. These settings make experimenting with different effects and listening to their effect on your sound as easy as it gets. And thanks to the self-illuminating organic EL display, visibility is crystal clear whether you're under the bright lights of a stage or in the studio.

The Favorites feature lets you recall frequently used programs with a single touch. You can assign a total of 40 programmes to the eight favourite category buttons for easy recall.

The KingKORG NEO comes with a wealth of music software from Izotope, including "Ozone Elements", which allows you to not only create songs but also edit them using artificial intelligence, "Skoove" software to help you improve your keyboard playing skills, as well as software synthesizers from KORG and other brands.
