Electric guitars from the RG series of the Japanese brand Ibanez are among the most famous Super ST instruments. Their flatter, faster neck, lighter weight and distinctive cutouts with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard are the reasons for their extreme popularity among rock and metal guitarists.
The RGT1270PB-DTF's lime body is adorned with a spectacular poplar root veneer top with wood grain accentuated by a Deep Twilight Flat finish. The thin through-neck with Wizard III profile is composed of seven pieces of maple and walnut. Twenty-four Jumbo-size stainless steel frets divide the ebony fingerboard surface. The rounded fret edges provide you with greater playing comfort (Premium fret edge treatment), while orientation around the fingerboard is facilitated by mother-of-pearl and genuine mother-of-pearl (Abalone) imitation blocks and luminescent dots on the side.
The guitar is fitted with three passive pickups from the respected Di-Marzio brand with Alnico magnets, with the neck and neck humbucker (the familiar H-H Tone Zone and Air Norton configuration) complemented by a True Velvet single-coil centre pickup. The guitar's sound can thus be aggressively dynamic with precise tone articulation and great sustain, but also pure warmth. This makes it stand out in a wide range of musical genres. Standard sound adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone controls and a five-position pickup switch.
The strings are housed in Gotoh tuning machines and an Edge double-turn tremolo, which you use to embellish your playing with impressive sound effects. Locks on the zero fret ensure tuning stability when using the tremolo lever frequently.
The guitar comes in a gig bag. The package includes a multi-tool.
