The mahogany body of the SG Standard '61 Stop Bar Translucent Teal guitar is adorned with a Translucent Teal color finish and a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets is glued to a mahogany neck with a "SlimTaper" profile. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Acrylic Trapezoid).
The sound of the instrument is provided by two 60s Burstbucker humbuckers with Alnico V magnets. Their expressive tone refers to later models of PAF pickups. The pickups are hand soldered to volume and tone potentiometers and "orange drop" capacitors. The pickups can be switched between by a three-position switch.
The strings are mounted in Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone pegs via a Graphtech zero fret and an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic stringer via an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. The stylish design of the instrument is accentuated by nickel hardware and a black five-ply pickguard.
The guitar comes in a case with a set of accessories.
