GIBSON Les Paul Modern Figured Cobalt Burst

The Gibson Les Paul Modern line of electric guitars offers a host of contemporary features and technology solutions, paving the way to the signature Les Paul sound for current and upcoming generations of musicians.

The mahogany body of the Les Paul Modern Figured Cobalt Burst guitar features a spectacular AAA-quality figured maple top and Cobalt Burst finish. Thanks to the body's resonance chambers (Ultra Modern Weight Relief treatment), the instrument is considerably lighter than classic heavy LP models, while retaining the typical Les Paul sound and feel. The thin lacquer nitrocellulose finish allows the wood to breathe and improves the sonic qualities of the instrument.

The mahogany neck with Slim Taper profile, combined ebony fingerboard radius, modern neck foot shape and back body cutout offer great playability and a completely natural feel when played at all fretboard positions. The fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl position blocks.

Burstbucker Pro+ and Burstbucker Pro humbuckers with Alnico V magnets and waxing give the guitar a fuller fatter sound with more punch than PAF pickups inspired by standard Burstbucker models. Adjust the character of the sound using the volume and tone shutter potentiometers with push/pull functions and the three-position pickup switch. For the volume knobs, this is a coil-tap function, whereby lifting the potentiometers changes the character of the sound from humbucker to single-coil, while the push/pull function of the tone shield changes the connection of the pickups (out of phase), or bypasses all the drivers (pure bypass).

Stable tuning is ensured by mounting the strings via a Nashville Tune-O-Matic aluminium headstock in the stringers and via a Graphtech zero fret in Grover Locking Rotomatics locking tuning machines. The instrument's stylish design is accentuated by chrome hardware and bright circumferential binding.
