The body of this tenor ukulele is made of laminated sapele, a wood botanically related to mahogany/real mahogany (hence it is often referred to as sapele mahogany). The neck and fingerboard of the instrument are made of African okoumé and walnut, which is also a fairly commonly used combination of woods. The strings are anchored via a bone fretboard and saddle fret in open geared tuning machines and a walnut fingerboard.
